The Toronto Civic Club (TCC) staff has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for our entire website and club related functions. We do not share your email address or other personal information with anyone!

TCC reviews its privacy policy periodically, and reserves the right, at its discretion, to modify or remove portions of the policy at any time. This page should be reviewed from time to time so that you can be aware of any changes.

Registration Forms

Our forum's registration form and club application form requires users to give us contact information (like their name and email address) and demographic information (like their vehicle, modifications, location, etc.). We use contact information from the registration form to send the user information about our club and promotional material for future club events and functions that may be of interest. The member's contact information is also used to contact the visitor when necessary. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the Opting-Out section below. Demographic and profile data is also collected at our site. We use this data to tailor the visitor's experience at our site, showing them content that we think they might be interested in, and displaying the content according to their preferences.

Contests / Giveaways

From time to time, TCC will hold contests or giveaways for it's members. We withhold the right to publish your name and other personal information will feel is important on our website should you be one of the individuals who win a contest and/or receive a prize giveaway. This information published will not be of a personal nature.

Security

This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Personal information collected by TCC is stored in secure operating environments that are not available to the public.

Message Boards / Forums

This site makes chat rooms, forums, message boards, and/or news groups available to its users. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.

IP Addresses

Our website also log IP addresses for systems administration purposes. We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our web site. Your IP address is used to help identify you and to gather broad demographic information. IP addresses are logged to track a user's session. This gives us an idea of which parts of our sites users are visiting. We do not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable. This means that a user's session will be tracked, but the user will remain anonymous.
When browsing the forums, all registered forum members have the option of browsing in "invisible" mode. Please contact the webmaster if you'd like more info on this matter.

Cookies

TCC uses a feature of your browser to set a cookie on your computer. This allows us to measure and report aggregate information. Our site uses cookies to keep track of your forum profile information. We also use cookies to deliver content specific to your interests and to save your password so you don't have to re-enter it each time you visit our site (optional on the forums).

Cookies by themselves cannot be used to find out the identity of any user. TCC will only store information provided voluntarily, but this information is not personally identifiable.
