Not really. The V-spec is faster still, but I'm waiting what the new NSX will do.

V-spec did it in 7:25 with AWD/F1 paddle shift/crazy electronics, fiber glass almost everything, Tuned Turbo's, and in a prototype which is a 2010 model and still only managed to get 7:25, wow, yet a conventional corvette with just bad ass power RWD and traditional slower manual stick shift in a production model achieved 7:26, hmmm i give more credit to GM they did it with half as much technology.

lets not forget the price tags when the V spec comes out, and maybe by then corvette will have something even faster.

Both cars are fast no doubt, but credit is heavily in favor of the red, white, and blue. Japanese are not good at everything.

ps: i still think both cars are HOT, but im really impressed with the Americans i did not expect that from them, not so much from the other side as we all expect great cars from JDM land. Now im waiting for Porsche to up its game, right now its embarrassing.

one more thing, man can this dude drive!!!

I apologize, I thought you were referring on who's got the fastest records and not the technology and everything else. For the sake of discussion... the gt-r is a 3.8L V6 compared to the zr1's 6.2L V8. (could GM make a 7:29 car with a 3.8V6? cause im pretty sure Nissan can easily make a 7:26 car or faster with a 6.2V8.)

Well the vette also ways less and has way more power over the new GT-R, but like 200 HP, so yea, it's should be able to do it in that time.

the zr1 and gtr are completely different cars... one is n/a, one is tt. one is rwd, one is awd. they shouldn't really even be lumped in the same class imo.
